We are extremely happy and honored to announce that Cineum Cannes is our new partner! ✨🧚♀️🎬👏🏻🎥🏆🇫🇷
Designed by the architect Rudy Ricciotti, the Cineum Cannes stands out with its futuristic architecture, like a spaceship that crosses space-time.
This monolith of 9,400m2 houses 12 state-of-the-art screens for a total capacity of 2,400 seats. The Cineum Cannes is the first cinema in France to be 100% equipped with immersive sound and one of the only two equipped with 100% laser projection.
The Flexound technology embedded in the seats is present in only 3 cinemas in the world!
Every month, come to live a unique cinema experience in total immersion, by watching the best cinematographic nuggets selected by our Festival!
A "Best of Future" selection of short and feature films is proposed to the public who can vote for their favorite film, best representing the Future Wave of Cinema.
These votes are counted once a year and a "Best of Future – Audience Award" is presented to the winner of the year at our annual event.

See you soon & remember the Future! ✨🧚♀️🎥🚀

Despite the clear determination to be able to maintain the organization of our annual event in Cannes, the surprisingly high transmissibility rates of the Omicron variant are increasingly holding us back and challenging many organizations, pushing the limits of health security, travel and the organization of many other events around the world.
In light of the official announcements and continuing restrictions around the world, we regret to announce that our Annual Awards Ceremony, scheduled for March 2022, will not be able to take place in person in Cannes.
We do not feel it is safe or feasible to bring together hundreds of artists, spectators, volunteers and partners from around the world when many communities are currently overwhelmed and struggling to stay afloat in the face of the health situation.
This was a difficult decision to make, but with the current record number of cases in France (over 450,000 per day), as well as the situation in other countries and the resulting level of uncertainty, we simply cannot take the risk of jeopardizing the health and safety of our participants, staff and community at large.
However, we are pleased to announce that thanks to our unique, fully hybrid format in Cannes, the announcement of the 2022 Annual Grand Prize Winners will take place online!
Our programming will continue and we will be streaming some of our annual winners' films online. We will also endeavor to host screenings at a cinema in Cannes.
We can't wait to share the amazing work of so many filmmakers and musicians from around the world and celebrate the artists who are helping change the world!
So we'll be gathering online this year to celebrate Independent Cinema and will announce the Nominees for our annual 2022 edition mid-February 2022.
All Nominees are chosen from our 2021 monthly winners.
As soon as we get rid of this virus, we'll get together to celebrate Film and Life in an atmosphere worthy of the "Roaring Twenties" of the last century. We can't wait! Remember the Future!
