Jim Rygiel

Jim is world renowned Visual Effects Supervisor. He is a master of visual effects and is considered to be the leading VFX Supervisor in the world.
He has won 3 Academy Awards (Oscar’s) and 3 BAFTA’S for Best Visual Effects on the following films: THE LORD OF THE RINGS TRILOGY.
Jim has set the standard for photo-real visual effects. He is holder of two Ph.D.’s. He has been working in Hollywood since 1980.
He worked on over 35 Hollywood films and countless televisions shows and commercials.
Jim lectures around the world and is on the Board of Director’s of the most prestigious film school(s).

Jim and Stephen Castor are business partners. Their companies — Its Just Us Productions, Rocket Science 3D, Rocket Science Motion Capture Studios — are developing and producing medium to big-budget content for international consumption,
with an emphasis on the U.S. and Chinese markets.

Jim is a member of the Academy of Motion Arts and Sciences, The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, The Director Guild of America,
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts. Jim is also on the Board of the Director’s of the Visual Effects Society.
